|We desire to be GOD-FEARING.
We hope and strive to be more and more like our Lord, Jesus Christ, each and every day. In order to reach this goal, we will have His praise continually on our lips and see God’s hand in all situations. In Him, we have gratitude for all that He has granted to us. Each morning, we must recognize that we can do no righteous thing without Him. We must remember the words of 1 Peter 1:15-16, “…but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, ‘You shall be holy, for I am holy.’” (English Standard Version) We are to be a holy priesthood that is set apart for the service of Christ. As we work towards becoming more God-fearing individuals, we also hope to cause others to see the importance of living their life in the fear of God.
|We are to be BIBLE LED.
Those who are a part of Camp Good News New Hampshire are to uphold the Bible and see it as the infallible Word of God. We recognize that the Bible is the standard for all we say and do. While we go forth being led by the Bible, we encourage others to live their lives in the light of God’s Word. It is His holy Word and our source of strength and wisdom. We are to commit His Word to our hearts and minds, as it says in Joshua 1:8, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it…” (ESV)
|We are PRAYERFUL.
We heed the words of 1 Thessalonians 5:17 where it says to pray without ceasing. In our prayers, we steadfastly seek God’s direction and wisdom. We pray with and for others, and exhort them to take everything to the Lord in prayer. As Paul writes in Philippians 4, we have anxiety about nothing and no burden that is too great, because we pray believing and trusting God to care for His people.
|We are MINISTRY MINDED.
Our desire is to reach the children of New England with the gospel of Christ and to “let [our] light shine before others, so that they may see [our] good works and give glory to [our] Father who is in heaven,” (Matthew 5:16 ESV). In this way, all aspects of Camp Good News New Hampshire are driven by the desire to evangelize and disciple children and establish them in the Word of God and a local church for Christian living. We aim to do this in an environment that is physically, emotionally and spiritually safe for all children. We persistently preach Jesus Christ crucified to the lost and fruit-bearing to the saved.
|We desire to be in FELLOWSHIP.
As a staff, we recognize that we are the church and one body of believers. Therefore, as Galatians 6 states, we share in honor as well as in sufferings. We understand and appreciate that together, as Paul tells the Philippians, we have, “…the same love, [of] full accord and of one mind,” (Philippians 2:2 ESV). We continually seek to look out for the interests of others, and edify one another in love. Since we are bondservants of Christ, we are unified in our faith, our hope and our love for Christ and for one another.
